PDAbar-Bibliothek: PDA-Kamera (auch Handy-Kamera) als Barcode-Scanner

Viele aktuelle Westentaschen-Computer und Smartphones sind bereits mit integrierter Kamera ausgestattet. Damit sind sie auch für das Lesen von Strich- und Matrixcodierungen geeignet. Die PDAbar-Biblothek ermöglicht das Lesen aller gebräuchlichen Strichcodierungen mit PalmOS-, Linux- und Windows Mobile PDAs und Symbian S60 Smartphones mit eingebauter Kamera (Pocket PC modellabhängig auf Anfrage).
Die Programmierschnittstelle der Bibliothek wurde auf einfache Integration bestehender (mit Hardware-Barcodescannern arbeitender) Anwendungen optimiert.
Für die Barcode-Erkennung sind Makromodus, Hilfslicht und hochwertige Objektivoptik Voraussetzung. Zum Testen und Recherchieren der Eignung eines bestimmten Gerätes für die Strichcode-Erkennung steht die online-Bilddatenbank zur Verfügung. -

Für Mobilgeräte mit Windows Mobile 5.x Betriebssystem (und neuer) ist eine Demo verfügbar, die die Logic Way-Bibliotheken PDAbar und JPEGlib benutzt. Diese Demo erkennt Barcodes vom Typ "Code 39" und "EAN13", die bei Bedarf online als PDF erzeugt werden können. Für produktive Anwendungen stellen wir auch andere Barcodetypen zur Verfügung.

PDAbar-library: turns the builtin camera of your PDA or mobile phone into a barcode scanner

Many current PDA-models and smartphones are equipped with builtin cameras. With this feature these devices fulfill all hardware requirements for barcode- and matrixcode-scanning. The PDAbar-library enables Palm0S-, Linux- and Windows Mobile powered handhelds (ask for support for a specific Pocket PC-driven device) and Symbian S60 powered smartphones with builtin cameras to read all common types of barcodes.
The libraries programming interface is optimized to plug easily into applications that already use barcode scanning by hardware.

For mobile devices running under Windows Mobile 5.x (or above) a demo exists, that uses Logic Way's libraries PDAbar and JPEGlib. It recognizes barcodes of type "Code 39" and "EAN13", that can be created on demand online in PDF-format. For production applications also other barcode types are available. Macro-mode, illumination and higher-grade optics are essential vor barcode recognition. Our online picture database provides information about suitability of different hardware for barcode scanning.
